Design Business Ireland is the national professional organisation representing design businesses in Ireland. The DBI EGM is taking place on Wednesday February 23rd at 6pm in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8 and (among other issues) attendees will be discussing the future of DBI and the design industry in Ireland, the growing trend among state and semi-state organisations to appoint overseas design/creative consultants, the need for close engagement between DBI / the design industry and the Education Sector, and the relationship between DBI and its fellow professional representative bodies.

Opportunities for serious debate about the design sector in Ireland are rare – but such an opportunity is available at this EGM. DBI embers were given 21 days advance notice of this event and more recently (due to demand from many non-members who wanted the opportunity to express their views and concerns) extended the invitation beyond its core membership.
