The European Commission Directorate-General Education and Culture has published a Green Paper entitled “Unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries”. This Green Paper raises important issues and asks important questions. The answers will have profound effects on Europe – ‘Unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries’ is a significant undertaking … and success is neither guaranteed nor easy.

Temple Bar Cultural Trust is leading a consultation process in Ireland which will take into account the views and opinions of those working in the culture and creative industries sector. An estimated 61,000 people work in the this sector in Ireland, and TBCT aim to gather the responses of as many of these as possible, in order to send a clear, coherent response back to Brussels about what needs to be done to improve the working environment for all of us.
